Wicked : Elphaba and Glinda's dorm room

This is one of two backgrounds I did back in January where I based them off the "Wicked" story. What a great musical! I read the book thereafter. Elphaba and Glinda shared a room together at Shiz University and I thought that might be fun to do.

I did some thumbnails and ended up going with something like the last one.

Then I changed the sketch quite a bit from the thumbnail. I am taking Armand Serrano's class now and I now know the importance of thumbnails. Oh the headache I would have saved myself if only I had figured everything out in the thumbnail! I also ended up making the values much darker for a different mood. This too required a lot of tweaking that I might have avoided. Power to the thumbnails! :)

Backgrounds for Titmouse 5 Second Day

A while back, Titmouse had 5 second day and I had the pleasure of helping out May, with his super adorable animation about a dimsum character. It was fun to whip these up! The BGs aren't the same without the cute characters as the short was absolutely charming.

Cute poo stickers

A while back I illustrated kawaii stickers for Aviary's Japanese App launch. I drew cute poos, fat cats and adorable hedgehogs. In particular, the poo sticker pack was so much fun. CUTE POOS! I got paid to draw. cute. poo. Awesome.
